Topic: SPAM!!!!!

I think the first thing we should do is find some way to block the torrent of spam accounts, so we can have a discussion without being interrupted by a peddler trying to sell us jerseys. A good place to start might be to create some roadblock in the registration, such as a security code to enter, or a required essay on youth rights, to be checked for sentience by a volunteer.

I bet my life that a spammer will pick up on this forum.

We're certainly not the only online youth rights forum.

Re: SPAM!!!!!

NYRA's not doing great, and that's all I can tell you for now... wink wink

I'll keep you posted, but expect news.

Re: SPAM!!!!!

@Robes - how active is ASFAR these days? Your post being the most recent, not counting the spam, is not encouraging. I say this, wishing ASFAR all the best for 2012.

ASFAR  is a bit like the Church and the Workers Revolutionary Party - even if you're not a supporter, it's important for the health and vibrance of society that such institutions exist.

Do you not have the power to delete spam accounts? At least, the captcha should keep the robots out - despite being a pain the ass for real people. Or are you like a dog trying to scratch the fleas off, one by one, only for them to jump back on under a different ID?

Re: SPAM!!!!!

I do have the ability to delete them, and I do delete them, or rather ban them and remove their posts, but I haven't checked for some time.

I think that the best thing I can say to express how active this place is is to tell you I'm keeping it clean for historical preservation. I know the president, and he doesn't give a damn about the place anymore, almost no one else from this place is even involved with it anymore, and the last serious post was months ago.

NYRA is much more active, but it's been facing a lot of internal turmoil recently. I'd recommend you go there.

Re: SPAM!!!!!

In addition to the incredible golfing experiences, there are some truly luxurious amenities available at Rancho La Quinta Country Club. For your membership fees, you can enjoy the use of the clubhouse, spa services, tennis courts, restaurants, cocktail lounges, and sparkling social events. There are certainly membership fees involved, but the rewards for these fees are immense.
