Topic: If people have an unconscious preference for young people

then why don't they want them to have equal rights?

According to the famous Harvard Implicit Association studies, most people prefer young people to old people.

Yet, most people seem to be against youth rights. Why is this?

It's probably because they associate youth with vigor, life, and opportunity but associate old age with death, deficiency, and closed doors.

Are you sure that young refers to children? A bias towards 20-somethings would seem more likely.

Simon,

Please do not give up on this forum.  I am new here, and I will encourage some friends to join.  You can do the same.  Let's build up the forum with concerned, intelligent people.

Aristippus,

How about, before bolstering the forum, we automatically block anyone with links in their posts.

All links?  Aren't some good?

I suppose.

The irony, however is that a sticky in the action section speaks of a permanent ban for anyone who is spamming, but nothing is happening.

People seem to have given up on the forums.

To begin with, I would like to congradulate the webmasters for banning fillolee. Perhaps a good next step would be banning the two users who have spammed on this forum before my post.

Also: Is there a way to remove the vandalism itself, so it's not a distraction?

Hi, folks. I sent an email to web-related staff members yesterday concerning an idea I had to reduce the spam.

Rather than blocking all links as proposed above, the forum could only block posts with links that contain certain keywords such as "handbags". That should prevent most of the spam without disallowing useful links. As a long-time programmer, I can do this in a few lines of code, or I could probably create something more sophisticated. I've downloaded PunBB and I've already started working on it, assuming the staff will be interested in making the modifications.

I imagine the forum moderators have had a hard time trying keeping up with spambots, so this modification could make their job easier, and I think reducing the spam might also help increase activity.

I've got sort of a handle on the spam, but keep the reports up.

I'm mod, so I'll see if I can find a way to add it.

An eye-catching marketing message and imprint on the promotional drawstring bags is a perfect way to capture and define the brand image of your companyColored skinny jeansand this is why these bags are wonderful for promotional campaigns. When you have lots of details to imprint on a giveaway promotional item, a drawstring bag is ideal because it is a larger item. These bags can help you display as much enough details as you require.
