Minutes of Board Meeting of September 29, 2004 Location: AOL Instant Messenger, private chat room "ASFAR" Board Members Present: Tevi Abrams, Andrew Jennings, David Schneider-Joseph Members Present: Scott D., Woty F. Visitors Present: Kelli B. The meeting was called to order at 9:14 pm eastern time. Reports of Officers The President, David Schneider-Joseph, reported that he had received a tape of his second radio interview on the voting age, and would digitize the audio for posting. He had also done a nationally-broadcast interview on the issue on Sept. 17, already posted at <http://www.asfar.org/dougstephan.php>. The Vice-President, Winston Featherly-Bean, was not present. The Secretary, Susan Wishnetsky, was not present. The Treasurer, David Schneider-Joseph, reported $63.01 in the PayPal account. The sale of one book earned 8 cents, and Google ads brought in $4.93. The Webmaster, David Schneider-Joseph, reported that statistics on site traffic in September had been lost. The Recruiting Officer, Kevin McCormack, was not present. The Fundraising and PR Director, Andrew Jennings, reported that local organizers seemed to be handling their own press releases for their protests; he planned to send out a press release to national media the following week. Reports of Committees: For the Zine Committee, David Schneider-Joseph reported that he had received a PDF of volume 5, no. 3 of Youth Truth, which he had already posted. Susan Wishnetsky had told him that the print version had gone to the print shop the previous week. Old Business: David Schneider-Joseph said he'd called about 50 people on the phone to discuss local protests and sent individualized e-mails to all members who indicated they wanted to form a chapter. Through online advertising, he had located protest coordinators for Fort Wayne IN, Parma MI, Delmar NY, and possibly other places in New Jersey, California and Michigan. He planned to continue contacting people in those areas. There was discussion of permits for protests, and material that could be sent to organizers. David Schneider-Joseph reported that the t-shirt image was not high-resolution, and appeared pixellated, and was unsure about whether to post it anyway.
